  • "I wanted to thank you again for a great course. You have given me a greater level of confidence and provided many practical tools that I can implement immediately. I also really enjoyed the Q&A opportunities and to chat to someone who is so knowledgeable.

Many thanks Kaye. You have been BRILLIANT!"

  • Kaye’s online Puppy Lifeskills course could not have been better.

It was far more personalised than any face to face class could ever be. Kaye sent us resources every session to work on for the following week and was always at the end of the phone or email if we had any problems or concerns between sessions. This was especially useful when struggling with teething troubles and sleepless nights.

Kaye tailored each and every session to our individual needs and has given us the skills to continue teaching our puppy the right way. We could not have asked for a better foundation to start our lives together. Thank you Kaye!

  • This is our second generation puppy Kaye has helped us with. Kaye’s training is kind, sympathetic but above all fun for both puppy and owner, no question is silly and she is a mine of really helpful information. We would highly recommend Right Start without hesitation

  • I can highly recommend Kaye and right start dog training to everyone , Kaye sets you on the right step from the start in the most positive upbeat way to ensure both you and your dog work in harmony to maximise your enjoyment of each other and every experience.

I personally had never had a dog and so at the age of 49 we got our 8 week old Labrador, I had no idea what to do other than play with her and feed her , most importantly Right start dog training gave me the confidence to take on board the training methods we are taught each week so to give our puppy a the best way forward for a happy healthy and safe time and to enable her to get the very best out of life by getting it right from the very start .

  • The online Puppy Lifeskills Course has been absolutely brilliant for us as total beginners when it comes to puppy parenting, and I only wish I’d known about the online course sooner! Kaye, I cannot thank you enough for sharing with us all your experience, tips and advice in such an easy to understand, kind and reassuring way and with the back up of all the excellent resources. I’ve enjoyed every minute!

  • I can't recommend Kaye and her dog training support and techniques highly enough. "Right start" is the perfect name for the training Kaye provides, from the 121 Welcome Pup session and an introduction to many enrichment activities, to the "Puppy Lifeskills" which was fun and informative, through to the Adults and Adolescents course which has provided some great training techniques. The courses are fun and well structured and handouts are a great reference tool. Kaye is such a warm and engaging person who has helped us so much with setting the foundations for an enjoyable, trusting and loving relationship with our pup - not to mention the invaluable help on recall techniques (I have not had to chase my Welsh Terrier with lead in hand and red faced yelling apologies for weeks now - phew!). Thank you for sharing your knowledge so keenly and patiently Kaye.

  • Kaye's classes are fantastic and fun, putting owners and their dogs at ease. A great safe environment for dogs and owners to learn new skills. Kaye is an enthusiastic and engaging teacher always having time to deal with individual training problems within a small group. I would definitely recommend Kaye to anyone thinking of joining one of her classes!

  • Kaye's classes are EXACTLY what every new Puppy owner needs! her training is based on positive reinforcement - i.e rewarding the behaviour you want & the results are quick! both my dogs have been to her classes and both thoroughly enjoyed them - so did I!
I have recommended Kaye to many people for good reason. If you want a well behaved, happy dog - its a VERY good place to start. :-)

  • We first met Kaye when we enrolled our 15 week old puppy on the Puppy Lifeskills class based around positive reinforcement. The classes were fun and a great start for us as first time adult dog owners.

When 'B' was about 20 weeks old, we realised that we had a potential case of separation anxiety and recognised we needed help before it grew into a bigger problem. Working with Kaye, we also learned that he had developed a fear of going out for a walk and was reactive to pretty much everything in a busy urban environment. The dream of the relaxing daily walks with our dog, and taking him on walking holidays in the UK were disappearing rapidly.

Kaye worked with us over a number of months. Starting with a visit to meet us and see 'B' in his home environment, Kaye gave us an action plan that developed each week as 'B' progressed and grew in confidence. Kaye patiently stuck with us as we tried some things which didn't work, and suggested other things that did, realising that every dog is different and it's a matter of finding the right approach for the dog.

At 11 months old, 'B' still has some anxious moments but we are now better equipped to deal with them. We are able to leave him alone for a couple of hours at a time and we have taken him on holiday without any problems.

We can't thank Kaye enough for all her help and highly recommend her to other dog owners.
