    Early training in a strange hall environment can be stressful for young puppies at what is a very vulnerable stage in their development. It is so important that in those first few weeks puppies don't have any negative experiences or this could set up behavioural issues for later. Therefore this group course will be a mix of 3 initial online Zoom sessions followed by 2 very carefully managed face to face group sessions in a hall venue. 

    The Zoom sessions allow us to go through many important early life skills in your home which is a far less distracting and stressful environment for pup.  These sessions will be backed up with exercises, resources to read and watch and very important information that a puppy family needs to know and understand to help set a young puppy up for success from the very beginning.  This will also enable us to prepare the pup for the face to face sessions in the hall environment so that they are able to cope well in this new and distracting setting as well as in new places and situations.

    The course format will be 3 Zoom sessions and then 2 face to face group sessions to consolidate everything that has been learned. It will also include access to a private Facebook Support Group during the duration of the course.

  • What's included in the course?

    • Advice on how to deal with the normal puppy issues – play biting, house training, jumping up
    • How to deal with those first few days......and nights! Never letting our pups 'cry it out'
    • Enrichment to promote calm, relaxation and confidence
    • Understanding body language and it's importance throughout the pups life
    • Teaching patience, self control and how to deal with frustration!
    • Helping the pup make choices that are rewarding to them and us!
    • How to socialise and habituate your pup in the right way without flooding them with experiences
    • How to choose and introduce your pup to suitable older dogs, safely and appropriately
    • How to teach the basic life skills including recall, walking on a loose lead, safety exercises like drop and leave etc
    • How to avoid separation issues
    • How to help pup enjoy handling and grooming
    • Advice on dealing with scary noises i.e. thunder and fireworks
    • And more!!!

    The course will also include:

    • Puppy Welcome Pack handed out at the face to face sessions
    • Resources in the form of videos, worksheets, website information and exercises to practice. 
    • It will also include access to an exclusive Puppy Lifeskills PLUS Facebook Support group for the duration of the course

  • Details and Cost

    The course will be 5 weeks in duration and will be made up of 3 online Zoom sessions and the final 2 weeks will take place in St Mark's Church Hall, Biggin Hill.

    Places will be limited to a maximum of 3 puppies so early booking is advised.

    The cost of the 'Puppy Lifeskills PLUS' course with access to the private Facebook Support Group for the duration of the course is £107

    A strict Covid 19 Protocol will be in place during the face to face group sessions to ensure the safety of all.
